At Jurnni, we believe no woman should face her health journey alone.
What began as a support platform for women with uterine fibroids has grown into a broader movement one that centers the physical, emotional, and creative healing of women navigating chronic illness, burnout, and the quiet grief of becoming someone new.
Our Mission
With up to 70% of Canadian women developing fibroids by age 50, we started by addressing the silence around this common yet often dismissed condition.
But we quickly realized:
It’s not just about fibroids. It’s about everything we carry. The pain, the pressure, the identity shifts, the shame, the longing for joy.
Jurnni is on a mission to transform the landscape of women’s health using compassionate storytelling, culturally-aware education, and creative expression to turn health challenges into opportunities for connection, clarity, and transformation.
Our Approach
Every woman’s healing journey is unique, whether she’s managing fibroids, navigating post-surgery recovery, facing emotional burnout, or simply trying to feel something again.
That’s why we offer a blend of:
- Community care
- Creative storytelling projects like The Letter Project
- Events, art, and digital experiences that center healing
Our Community
Jurnni is more than a platform, it’s a sisterhood.
A soft landing place. A space to cry, exhale, create, and reconnect.
We hold space for:
- Women newly diagnosed
- Women in treatment
- Women in grief or identity shifts
- Women rediscovering their voice
- Women seeking joy, healing, or simply rest
Every voice matters. Every story is welcome. You belong here.
A Note from Our Founder
I’m Augustina Ampofo, and I’m still on my healing journey, living with fibroids, ovarian cysts, and the heavy bleeding that so many women silently endure. I’ve navigated psychosis, depression, and the removal of eleven fibroid tumors, and I’ve seen firsthand how the healthcare system often overlooks, dismisses, or misunderstands women’s pain.
Jurnni Health was born from that reality. It’s my way of turning ongoing struggle into collective strength so that no one feels invisible in their care, and every story becomes a step toward change. Every patient deserves to be seen, heard, and valued, and through Jurnni, we’re creating the spaces, resources, and community to make that possible.
